Dealing with a hot market
The construction industry is running full-steam ahead, as proved by the numbers from the “ENR” 2018 Top 600 Specialty Contractors. The revenue generated from the entire list went up 10 percent in 2017, from $112.72 billion to $124.04 billion. In fact, the Top 600 revenue has continued to grow for seven consecutive years.
However, even with a hot market, many companies are treading lightly with how many jobs they take on.
“It is critically important that we use discretion to choose the right opportunities,” said Tom Donnelly, BrightView President of Landscape Development. “We’re focused on projects that position us for success and don’t over-tax our people, who are in high demand.”
The annual Top 600 list from “ENR” ranks companies by its construction revenue for the year from “specialty contracting in a prime or subcontracting capacity.”
