Introducing a deicer that’s lean, mean, and totally green. Meet Branch Creek’s Entry® liquid ice melt. BrightView is proud to be the only certified service provider in the Mid-Atlantic offering this first-of-its-kind ice removal product that was recently awarded the Green Seal® Certification for innovation.
Entry® uses a potassium-formate blend that is chloride-free resulting in a product that is safer for people, pets, water, plants, concrete, asphalt, stone, and metals than chloride-based products when used as directed.
Entry® is able to remove thin layers of ice and snow while preventing new ones from forming up to a freezing point of minus-60 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s lower than any other product on the market. When rock salt and other calcium, sodium, and magnesium granular chloride products seep into groundwater supplies or wash into lakes or streams, they reduce the available oxygen levels and threaten aquatic life. Chloride-based ice melters can also contaminate soil, harm plants and turf, and burn the skin and eyes of people and pets.
Entry® quickly and safely melts snow and ice with its neutral pH formulations and clear-as-water appearance. It's this special formula that completely eliminates the tracking of harmful chlorides typically found in traditional granular products that cause damage to flooring and leaves behind an oily residue that can cause slippery conditions within buildings.
These distinctions are what caught the attention of Green Seal®, a global, nonprofit organization for health and environmental leadership with rigorous certification programs for products and services in over 450 categories. Green Seal® standards prohibit volatile organic compounds (VOCs), carcinogens, reproductive toxins, phthalates, and other harmful ingredients.
