Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, BrightView Makes the Tupperware Campus Landscape Like New
BrightView revitalizes the famous rose gardens at Tupperware headquarters
The world headquarters of TupperwareBrands Corporate, a stunning campus north of Kissimmee, Fla., has been refreshed, thanks in part to the experts at BrightView Landscapes. BrightView preserved the famous Tupperware rose gardens by rebuilding its hybrid tea roses.
“Roses” and “Tupperware” have always been synonymous, so the rose design and colors are used throughout Tupperware’s products and are showcased on the campus. Over time, the trademark rose garden became overrun and rose plants needed to be revitalized. BrightView designed and built the gardens to showcase the re-energized roses by rejuvenating its hybrid tea rose stock from five remaining plants.
“They have a patent on a special rootstock called Fortuniana that’s nematode-resistant,” said Tim Harris, BrightView Designer. “They took cuttings off the plants, rooted them, and then grafted them onto the Fortuniana rootstock. They were able to replicate from those remaining plants approximately 300 Tupperware roses.”
The project won a 2018 Silver Award of Excellence from the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP).
