BrightView Teamwork Helps Spruce Up the Ritz-Carlton For Elite Car Show

The Ritz-Carlton at Amelia Island was preparing to host the Amelia Concours 2025 d'Elegance—an award-winning event that celebrates elite motorsports and world-class vehicles.

The top-tier resort needed landscaping that was nothing short of perfection.

They turned to BrightView.

“We kicked things off by overseeding and establishing ryegrass across the site, which blended beautifully with the dormant Bermuda grass, instantly giving the area a fresh, vibrant look,” said Rodney Hicks, BrightView's Senior Branch Manager in Jacksonville.

Next, the entire site was mulched to give it a polished finish. The resort’s entire courtyard was revamped with new plants and a fresh layout. The team also installed seasonal color changes to add additional visual impact. 

“All landscaping had to be hand watered due to all the beautiful cars on the lawn,” Hicks said. “The property installed a new paver pad for the show, so we rerouted the irrigation systems to make sure water was distributed perfectly, keeping the newly established areas healthy and thriving.”

To put the cherry on top, the teams then replaced the sod in key areas to breathe new life into the space.

“I’m so proud of the team,” Hicks continued. “Not only was their work flawless, but they also pulled it off in just two weeks working around very high-end automobiles.”

During the event, BrightView also assigned a team member to be onsite every day to prep and clean up, ensuring perfection was maintained.
