BrightView Holdings, Inc., the leading commercial landscaping services company in the United States, today announced the acquisition of Smith’s Tree Care, Inc., a leading tree care service provider, based in Newport News, Va. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

For the last 14 years, BrightView has helped the city of Chicago in its process of selecting its annual Christmas tree, as well as removing it from the homeowner's property, transporting it, and installing the tree in Millennium Park.

BrightView Tree Care removed stumps at the entrance and in a planned garden area at the Bel Air Guest Home. The assisted living apartment complex is home to more than 60 residents living with mental illness and substance abuse issues.
